From Small Beginnings

Granite Seed Company was founded in 1988 to supply commercial-grade seed to government agencies, landscapers, and ranchers throughout the western United States. For over two decades, Granite Seed built a reputation for quality and expertise in the professional seed industry.

Expanding to the Public

Nature's Seed was born in 2011 as the direct-to-consumer arm of Granite Seed. We saw an opportunity to bring the same professional-grade seed and expertise to homeowners, hobby farmers, and gardening enthusiasts across the country.

We use only NTEP-rated (National Turfgrass Evaluation Program) varieties when available. That means our grass seed varieties have been tested and proven to perform at the highest level. We work directly with top seed growers and conduct rigorous quality testing on every lot.
