Mid-West/Mid-Atlantic Horse Forage Mix

Our Mid-West/Mid-Atlantic horse pasture mix is designed to thrive in the cold snowy winters and hot humid summers of southern Minnesota, Iowa, central and northern Missouri, central and northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, central and northern Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, southern New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and northern New Jersey. The grasses and legumes selected for this mix are nutrient-dense, palatable and able to withstand the heavy grazing common of horses. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

30% Kentucky Bluegrass

20% Perennial Ryegrass

20% Orchardgrass

20% Meadow Brome

10% Alfalfa
