Our Southwest Transitional dairy cow pasture mix was designed to withstand the extreme heat of summer and the frigid cold of winter typical of this region. This mix performs best in central Nevada, southern and central Utah and parts of the Four Corners states. This mix is designed to keep up with the high nutritional demands of a productive dairy cow and ensure the best milk production rates possible. The grasses and legumes in this mix are all nutrient-dense and palatable to all dairy cows. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:
40% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)
30% Orchardgrass
10% Perennial Ryegrass
10% Alfalfa
10% White Clover
In an effort to help our customers visualize the finished product, note that the percentages listed above are what you can expect the stand to contain once established. For the contents of this seed mix by weight, please contact us to request a digital copy of the seed tag.
