This exquisite perennial wildflower, native to the Rocky Mountains, also happens to be the state flower of Colorado. It grows several feet tall and produces a beautiful white, lavender, purple, or blue flower. Colorado Columbine has a bushy growth habit and blooms from April to July. It prefers rich, moist soils with light to moderate shade. This flower makes a bold statement in any wildflower garden, especially if grown in mass plantings.
