Our Southwest Transitional Poultry Forage Mix contains a selection of legumes and forbs designed specifically for the hot, dry summers and frigid cold winters in areas of central Nevada, southern and central Utah and parts of the Four Corners states. This mix produces excellent chicken forage that is naturally low-growing and nutrient-dense. It also contains common flax; a well-known source of omega-3 fatty acids. Ideal for large acreages or small backyard plots. Can also be used as a cover crop. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

20% White Dutch Clover

20% Alsike Clover

20% Red Clover

15% Alfalfa

15% Field Pea
