Our Southwest Transitional alpaca/llama pasture mix has been designed for the hot, dry summers and frigid cold winters in areas of central Nevada, southern and central Utah and parts of the Four Corners states. It contains a selection of grasses designed to provide nutrient-dense, palatable forage. This mix also includes a high percentage of soft, leafy grasses that are more compatible with the grazing styles and mouth shapes of alpacas and llamas. Treat your alpacas and llamas to the best whether you’re raising them for their fiber, packing abilities or as a hobby. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

40% Orchardgrass

25% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)

20% Meadow Brome

15% Timothy
